October 16th, 2009

Tombola Bingo welcomes all UK bingo players to its fresh, new look site. There are tons of jackpots to choose from, great applications created especially for you, and a vibrant bingo community that is just waiting to embrace all new bingo players. We had a look around Tombola Bingo just for you guys, so you could get the lowdown on this bingo site and if it is worth your time and money. Our verdict says, definitely maybe. Depending on the kind of bingo player you are, this site can shift shape and form to adapt to your needs. For starters, if you are the kind that likes freebies, you could get free bingo money to try out this site. Simply find the £5 pound bonus voucher in one of the hottest magazines in town, and enter the special code to claim your free bingo money!

Tombola Bingo also offers a great welcome bingo bonus. For those who are already listed on the bingo site, there has never been a reason to complain, as the deposit bonuses simply keep you coming back for more. Once you sign up with Tombola Bingo, and make that every critical decision of making your first deposit, do not let the minimum deposit amount required stress you. There are sites out there that require as little as £5 pounds to start off with, but what they match it with rarely looks impressive. At Tombola Bingo, you need to deposit a minimum of £10, but what you’ll get in return is another tenner. This means that on first deposits of up to £25 pounds, you will be matched penny for penny. First deposit bonus at Tombola Bingo never sounded better.

Tombola Bingo has gained popularity more because of its memorable advertising campaigns. In a bid to make the current ‘holiday look’ advertising campaign universal with the brand, they have designed their online bingo site accordingly. Clear blue skies, tufts of white clouds and vibrant colours make the bingo site seem inviting and friendly, just like their bingo community. The range of online games on Tombola Bingo are created exclusively for their brand, which means that you will not find them on any other site. Tombola Bingo offers 90 ball bingo, 80 ball bingo, 75 ball bingo, and an interesting 50 ball bingo. In addition to bingo games, they have an impressive list of instant games and mega jackpots. With games such as Roller-Coaster, Hamster Race, Battleships, Bandbit, Bingo Roulette, Cinco, Bingo Lite and Lucky Pick, you’ll never run out of games to play.

Tombola Bingo always has some exciting bingo promotions lined up as they know how to keep things spiced up for their bingo players. The bingo site has become a favourite of many UK online bingo players, and now it is gaining more players thanks to its latest sponsorship deal with Emmerdale. The daily soap opera reaches out to milions of UK audiences, and more of these are jumping on the Tombola Bingo bandwagon. We’d like to tell you that this online bingo site is not worth the trouble, but we haven’t found anything disappointing yet.

Foxy Street Is Now Open!

October 12th, 2009

Foxy Bingo has launched another site, because Foxy Radio and the Foxy Funhouse sites weren’t enough. But hey, I’m not complaining because what Foxy Street is delivering, is better than what some high street malls are offering! Giving high street shops a run for their money is the virtual Foxy Street, and the style is effortless. The store opened with its latest Foxy merchandise, such as customised skins for iPods and laptops. You have to see these to believe how cool they look! As opposed to other stores, where these’ll cost you a fortune, Foxy Street dishes out one bargain after another. There aren’t just gadgets, there are perfumes, bags, stuffed toys, the works!

Foxy Street is another way for Foxy Bingo to say thank you to its bingo players while also making them loosen their purse strings a little more. There are tons of free and subsidized items on the menu, but there are also some of the must-haves on the shelf. For those of you wondering what you should be getting your online bingo friends as a gift this Christmas, Foxy Street is worth a try. Choose from categories such as Home Furnishings, Health and Fitness, Fashion Accessories, Jewelery, Technology and the good ole Foxy Goodies.

Foxy Street is bringing the bingo players a new medium of redeeming their collected points or winnings, and the players in return can spend it on items for themselves. Instead of putting your bonus points towards games with smaller jackpots, spend them at Foxy Street and hit it big for yourself. There are many wonderful gifts to choose from including fashionable accessories. So time to bring all those bonus points you’ve collected to their fruition and for you to sit back and soak up some sun. Foxy Street can be found easily and you won’t get stuck in traffic trying to get there.

Free Bingo Travels to Blackpool

October 12th, 2009

Free Bingo UK has decided to plan a bingo players’ day out, packed with loads of bingo fun and other activities. All bingo players from the site are aware that this site is completely free to try, and there tons of free bingo rooms to choose from. The online bingo site decided to take their game one step further and give their players a chance to meet in person. The last time they tried it at the Alton Towers, it was a hit, so they thought why not do it again? The whole purpose of a bingo game is to give folks a chance to socialise while engaging in a fun and rewarding activity.

With online bingo sites springing up faster than ever before, there is a greater need to keep that socialising element of bingo alive. Also with offline bingo halls closing down, bingo players need more than just free bingo online. While some sites have taken the online social networking approach, Free Bingo UK, is all about making the experience real. So what are the lucky bingo players going to do on their day out? Tons of stuff lined up apparently, including some crazy rides.

Free Bingo UK has organised the trip to Blackpool, and participants from all over the UK have signed up for the fun package. There is the crazy fairground ride from Pepsi Max – The Big One for the adventurous bingo players, and for the not-so-spontaneous ones there will be the bingo games to play. The unique bingo games catching up these days are the ones replacing all the numbers on your cards for either celebrity names or songs or movie names etc. The Free Bingo lucky bingo players will be playing the karaoke version of bingo, wherein songs will be picked at random and played for the players, and if they have all the songs on their cards, it is a full house! Sounds like a great place to be hanging out at. Look up Free Bingo for more of such fun and exciting activities.

Gala Bingo Reaches For New Heights

October 12th, 2009

Gala Bingo is probably the most talked about online bingo site, not only because of its mega massive online bingo player community, but also because of its strong presence among the land-based bingo halls. Bingo fans from Gala Bingo are currently preparing for a journey that the world is going to remember for a long time to come! Playing bingo is one thing, but combining it with an adventure sport is going to increase the stakes of this social game. Training for, what is said to be, the World’s Highest Game of Bingo are 24 employees from Gala Bingo. This lucky bunch is going to be playing atop the Mount Everest to set a new world record.

Gala Bingo’s supporters are excited about this new adventure and any true bingo fan will be right there rooting for these brave ones as they make their way through horrible weather, physical stress and high altitudes, all for the love of bingo! You didn’t think they were going to play bingo at Mount Everest just for some jackpot, did you? Well, true to its nature, this online bingo site is raising funds and awareness for the Sue Ryder charity as part of this bingo trek. Gala Bingo is hoping to raise the million that they are targetting for before the end of the year.

The stakes are high and there is definitely anxiety in the air, and anyone who has ever managed to climb all the way to the top of the Everest, will tell you it is not ordinary task. The mental and physical stamina required is beyond average, and the players not only have the mammoth task of getting to the top, but also then indulging in a real game of bingo. The clarity of mind required for the same is going to be a challenge in itself. We support this brave gesture and hope that bingo can finally make its mark where only a few men have gone before!

Ladbrokes Bingo Is Pink

October 8th, 2009

Ladbrokes Bingo wouldn’t have wanted to stray away from their classic red and white colours had it not been a damn good reason. Supporting a good cause throughout this month, Ladbrokes Bingo has decided to turn to a milder and youthful shade of Pink! The sports betting giant that made its foray into online bingo a couple of years ago, is now using its brand to support a worthy cause. This month, Ladbrokes Bingo is spreading the message of wearing Pink in support of Breast Cancer Research, and yes funds collected throughout this month will be in part donated to charities associated with the cause.

Ladbrokes Bingo is expecting a great turnout to their event which is all about giving back to the community. This new social look on bingo is becoming very fashionable and also very successful for charities. Awareness of cancer is definitely picking up, and people are more and more aware that helping out a charity is not only giving back to the community but also an investment in one’s own future. The way to contribute is simple and straightforward, buy tickets at Ladbrokes Bingo and that money goes towards the charity fund, and the more you play, the more you give away. And if you thought Ladbrokes Bingo was going to make you do all the hardwork, how wrong you are!

Ladbrokes Bingo will match all the jackpots won in the Laddies Lucky Loft room during the bingo promotion time, and that is extra money going towards the charity. And as one good turn deserves another, all players participating in this bingo promotion will be entered into a prize draw to win some awesome pink goodies such as flower bouquets, cupcakes and concert tickets! Doesn’t sound like a bad idea jumping on the pink bandwagon now, does it? Ladbrokes Bingo is running this online bingo promotion through the month of October, so you have a chance to do your bit!

UK Bingo Halls On A Downturn

October 7th, 2009

UK bingo halls have been popular for decades now, and many celebrities started off their careers at these land-based bingo halls. The current trend however is showing a shift in the manner of bingo players. With bingo becoming accessible at the touch of a button and in the comfort of your own bedroom, the legacy of offline bingo halls is burning out. For most, since the explosion of online bingo sites, which by the way sit at a figure of 250+ at the moment, the whole experience of bingo playing has had a face lift. While the UK still lags in the transfer of avid bingo players from offline bingo halls to online in comparison to the US, this trend is definitely showing a shift.

Bingo players in the UK are slowly and steadily opting for the online bingo sites. When one can play comfortably from home without having to even change out of their pjs, why swap that for a game at the local bingo hall? The concept of bingo rests on the socialising aspect, and more players are now associated with social networking sites, making it even more impossible to lure bingo players out of online bingo. While three years ago, UK had 650 land based bingo halls, this number has dwindled to a 550. Will there be a day when we won’t have a local bingo hall?

For bingo players across the UK, the bingo halls have already cut down hours and in certain cases, shut down completely. We love online bingo, but offline bingo has a traditional way about it that makes it endearing. For me in particular, this is a catch22 situation, wherein I do want to play online bingo, but don’t want the offline bingo halls to shut down completely. Oh dear, oh dear! Things may take a turn for the better and we might see these bingo halls and many new ones come back into action in the next couple of years, but we’ll have to wait and watch for that.

Gala bingo team to play high altitude bingo games for charity

September 29th, 2009

The quest to break the record for the world’s highest game of bingo is on. A 24-strong team of Gala  employees from across Britain is setting out to complete the challenging task of trekking 75 miles and ascending 2,700 metres up the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest. This adventurous act will help raise £100k for Gala Coral’s group-wide charity Sue Ryder Care.

Joining the team of trekkers is 42-year-old Mark Simm from Wigan – a bingo fanatic. Mark and his team will start their trek in Lukla on October 19 and should hopefully reach the Mount Everest base camp on October 24 and settle down to play the high-altitude bingo games. Mark and his team have been in training for this event playing bingo at a height of 400ft on top of St John’s Beacon Observation Tower, in Liverpool. They are shaping up by running long distance running and climbing hills. Says Mark : “It seems a bit daft, but if we’re going to do this challenge properly we need to be prepared so, apart from the high altitude bingo practice, I’ve also been playing double-speed bingo games to keep my mental faculties sharp because at 17,500ft, your thinking really slows down. This trek is a once-in-a- lifetime challenge for me and what keeps me going is the thought of standing on Base Camp, dabber in my hand, knowing that I’ll be raising vital funds for Sue Ryder Care. I hope we can do them proud.”

Simon Longbottom, managing director of Gala Bingo, said: “I am incredibly proud of Mark and the team who have volunteered for this challenge. I’m even prouder that we’ll be raising money for the excellent work of our nominated charity, Sue Ryder Care.” To support Gala Bingo’s fundraising efforts, play the bingo game dedicated to the cause. Visit Gala Bingo now and do your bit for a good cause.
